PCMC was selected as recipient of the prestigious 2019 FTA Technical Innovation Award which was presented at Forum 2019’s Awards Banquet on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

PCMC received the award for its recent introduction of the SteadyPrint print stabilization technology. SteadyPrint couples innovative patented mechanical designs with cutting edge disturbance cancelling algorithms that suppresses disturbance associated with the hard edge - largely removes the impact of bounce in flexographic printing. The press automatically learns when the disturbance occurs on each job and implements the cancellation algorithm to minimize or eliminate the impact on print quality.

For more than 20 years, the FTA Technical Innovation Award has recognized the most innovative and impactful technologies for the ever-evolving package printing and converting industry. Recipients of the Technical Innovation Award are deemed by a panel of industry experts to have the potential power to change flexography’s future for the better. They includes innovative technologies that utilize the flexographic process or have been designed specifically to enhance flexographic printing.
